Brighten The Corner Where You Are

For some people, Wednesdays are the most challenging day of the week. I often hear people say this on Wednesdays: "If I can just make it through this day, the rest of the week will be a breeze." Instead of anticipating a good start to a good day, they go into the day expecting the worst.
Is Wednesday like the middle child in the family, lacking the attention it deserves? Like with most days, obstacles will get in the way. Instead of hopping on the complaint train, why not counter the complaints around you and see if you can help others look at life more positively today?
When someone is complaining, you simply add the word 'but' and counter it with a positive thought or positive action.
For example:
"I'm so sick of driving to work in this crazy traffic." - 'but' be thankful you made it safely and that you have a job."
"We had to wait forty-five minutes to get a table at the restaurant last night." - 'but' wasn't it great spending quality time with your friends? And I've heard their food is delicious."
"My feet are killing me in these new shoes." - 'but' they look really cute with your outfit. Once you break them in, they will be more comfortable."
I know, not everyone will be open to receiving the positive comments - 'but' for those that are, it's worth the effort.
Instead of letting obstacles get in your way today, why not help others take a more positive approach to life. Brighten the corner where you are!
Thought for the day - Most days you will not get what you want; some days you will only get what you need; but every day you will get what you expect.
Have a great day!
