"Today I live in the quiet, joyous expectation of good." - Ernest Holmen
Why not just tell the truth? Have you ever been around a person who has made dishonesty a fine tuned work of art? These people have been telling lies about things for so long they themselves can't distinguish their own lies from the truth. It has become a habit of life for them.
It saddens me to say that more and more people find it easier to lie than to face the truth. Getting caught up in a habit like this will eventually destroy the person's reputation, and what little trust they have built up with others will disappear.
Honesty is always the best policy, and people around us need to see the light of truth in everything we say and do.
When you are at work and can't take a phone call, don't have others lie for you. It's okay to have them say you are unavailable to take the call. When you have others lie for you, you are putting them in an awkward position, and setting a bad example to follow.
Things like this will determine how your light will shine. If you are honest, it reflects positively. If you are dishonest, it reflects negatively.
Honesty may not be the easiest policy, but it has proven itself to be the best policy time and time again. Choose to take the high road - always be honest!
We all have many opportunities to choose the high road each day . Look for ways to shine your light today.
We live in a world of compromise. As you go through this day, don't get discouraged. Stay plugged into your source of light. Read the Bible daily, and pray. We have a heavenly father above who loves us all very much, and is pleased when we choose to do the right thing even if no one around us makes the same choice.
Thought for the day - "If you tell the truth, you don't need a long memory." - Jesse Ventura
Have A Great Day!
