SHINEWORTHY LIFESTYLES - Confidence To Move Forward, Clarity To Shine!
SHINEWORTHY LIFESTYLES - Confidence To Move Forward, Clarity To Shine!

Have you ever been asked the following question? “If you could go back in time, what advice would you give to your younger self?” That's a good question, however those days are gone, and time waits for no one.

Since we know we can't go back in time, let's be grateful for the lessons learned from days gone by.

Instead of focusing on the past, why not get excited about what the future holds?

Today, I want to ask you a different question:

Since you can't go back in time, what are you doing to live your best life in the days and years ahead?

I encourage you to keep dreaming those dreams, and setting goals that will give you a bright future. If things haven't turned out exactly the way you thought they would - don't lose hope!

What's Holding You Back?

  • Do you have dreams inside just waiting to come out?

  • Do you have goals and aspirations that you've not mentioned to anyone?

  • Are there things you've always wanted to do, but never had the courage to try?

  • Have you missed opportunities for advancements at work because you were too shy to speak up?

Don't Be Shy!

It's time to speak up and let others rally around you, and cheer you on!

Did you know that Laura Ingalls Wilder was 68 years old when the novel, Little House On The Prairie was published? That's right, she began her writing career later in life, compiling and publishing the famous series between the ages of 65 and 76.

I have a friend who decided to attend college for the first time at the age of 62, completing her degree the year she turned 66. She never gave up on her dream!

A couple who are near and dear to me decided early in their adult life they wanted be millionaires by the time they reached their 40's. They stayed consistent with their plan; investing in real estate, setting a goal of debt-free living, and committing to a generous life of service and financial giving. Guess what? They accomplished their goal!

I had lunch with another friend of mine recently, who said she had always wanted to learn to play the piano. She is taking lessons and plans to surprise her family with a special Christmas Recitial in December. I'm so excited for her!

I don't want to forget to tell you about my friend who had a goal and dream of attaining a corporate job with an office on the top floor of a sky scraper in downtown Nashville. She was bold enough to tell others, and put in the work required to attain her goal. She had to do hard things even when she didn't feel like it, and I'm happy to inform you that she is livin' her dream!

It's time to be clear about what you want for your future! What do you want to do to live your best life in the days ahead? What are you telling your future self?

What You See Is What You Get!

Take some time this week to list the things you want to do in the near and far future. Place your list where you can see it daily.

Say It Out Loud!

  • Read your list out loud daily.

  • Make up a song about it.

  • Tell others.

  • Remember - nothing worth having comes easy.

  • Do hard things even when you don't feel like it.

  • Celebrate every step along the way.
