If You Try To Please All - You Please None

You can please some of the people some of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time.
It is impossible to live your life in such a way that everyone around you is pleased with your actions all of the time. It is also impossible for others to live their lives in such a way that you are pleased with them all of the time.
The sooner we accept these facts the better off we will be. We all look at things differently and are gifted in various ways, all by God's design. Instead of trying to mold someone into a 'mini you,' celebrate their orginality and encourage them to be all God designed them to be.
Even identical twins have distinct characteristics that are all their own. Just as we all have our own set of fingerprints, we all have differences that make us who we are today.
A woman may give birth to several children, and even though there will be some similarities, there will be differences in each personality. Instead of criticizing people because they are different from you, get to know them for who they were designed to be. You may have some things in common, but you may not see eye to eye on everything. That's okay!
This world would be boring if we were all just alike!
Human nature often leads us to criticize and judge others. Even when we don't understand someone's actions, it's not our job to judge them. We need to love them and leave the judging to God.
I like what Luci Swindoll had to say about the subject of judging: "Criticism is one of the hardest things to take and one of the easiest things to give. Unless we listen with our hearts we can find a hundred reasons to criticize other people - how they dress; what they drive; where they shop, travel, or go to church; their values; political beliefs; sexual or philosophical lifestyle; their thoughts on any given issue; their home, family life, husband, wife, children; right down to how they part their hair. Jesus has a lot to say about being critical or judgmental. He is adamant about anyone passing judgement on another human being. He says, '"Don't be nitpickers; use your head and heart to discern what is right, to test what is authentically right."(John 7:24 MSG).
Instead of looking for reasons to criticize others, let's look for ways to love, laugh, and play with others.
Instead of criticizing someone, find ways to encourage them.
We're not put on this earth to see through each other, but to see each other through.
Let's do our part to make this world a better place by loving everybody and showing kindness wherever we go.
Thought for the day - Remember, we are all gold in the making - let's cheer each other on!
Have A Great Day!
